Synopsis

Monsieur Beaucaire: Bob Hope stars as a court barber who turns into a royal pain for his employers. He also happens to fall in love with the beautiful Mimi (Joan Caulfield). But when the king has had enough of his shenanigans, Hope is led to the guillotine. Luckily, the Duc de Chandre, played by Patrick Knowles, rescues Beaucaire. But when he later poses as a nobleman, it seems Hope may have pushed his luck a little too far. Where There's Life: Bob Hope is Michael Valentine, the long-lost heir to the throne of mythical kingdom. This makes him the target of spies, kidnapping, death plots—and two determined women (Vera Marshe and Signe Hasso). Michael is "hunted, shot at, stabbed, nearly hanged, tossed out of an aeroplane, and run down by a car" (Cue Magazine). But dealing with the women is even tougher. © 2002 Universal Studios.
