Synopsis

As young Sigmund Freud uses hypnosis to probe the unconscious minds of a woman haunted by recurring dreams and a man with an Oedipus complex, he develops the notion that neurosis stems from sexual repression. Though his radical theories spark outrage from his colleagues, Freud's case studies lay the foundation for modern psychoanalysis. © 1962 Universal Studios. All Rights Reserved.
