Singing sensation Deanna Durbin stars along with Edmond O'Brien, Don Taylor and Ray Collins in the screwball comedy, For the Love of Mary. When Mary Peppertree (Durbin), a White House telephone operator, breaks her engagement to marry an attorney (Jeffrey Lynn) for the Justice Department, it causes a stir and encourages two new admirers, David (Taylor) and Tom (O'Brien), to pursue her.
