Rodeo champion Tom Moody returns to the circuit and takes gifted newcomer Bart Eaton under his wing, teaching him to ride with skill rather than showmanship. As Bart's star rises along with his ego, a rivalry grows between the two cowboys, especially with both drawn to rodeo clown Dan Bream's daughter, Judy.
