Agnes Browne (Angelica Huston, TV's "Smash") is a hard-working, dedicated mother to seven children in 1960's Dublin when her husband suddenly dies, leaving her adrift and unable to pay funeral expenses. Determined to see her children succeed, Agnes tries everything to keep the kids together: from borrowing money from a loan shark to selling fruits and vegetables.
